
One of my favorite vegetables is asparagus. The taste is great and it goes well with all kinds of dishes. Especially I like it with red meat. Asparagus is blanched ahead of time, wrapped with bacon and skewered onto bamboo sticks. Then cooked until bacon is golden-brown.
What’s in this bento:
*rice balls, garnished with little sansho leaves
*”nikujaga”, soy stewed beef and potatoes, bacon-wrapped asparagus
*pickled vegetables, rolled omelette, ume compote
今日はおにぎり弁当です。アスパラガスは大好きな野菜のひとつ。お肉と合わせるのが好きです。あらかじめ湯掻いたアスパラガスをベーコンで巻いて串に刺し、焼き色がつくまで焼いています。

I made “nikujaga”, soy-stewed beef and potatoes with carrot, onion and shirataki. When it comes to this nikujaga leftover, it would be even better after it sits for a day. I like not only to eat it as it is, but also to make croquette with the leftover.
牛肉、じゃがいも、人参、玉ねぎ、白滝で肉じゃがを作りました。作った翌日も美味しいよね。残った肉じゃがはそのまま頂くのも好きですが、コロッケにするのが大好きです☆
